In solidarity and collaboration with survivors, community allies, human service and academic professionals, and law enforcement, the team at Youth Trust Project works to enhance the effectiveness of prevention, intervention, and recovery initiatives in response to human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation. A newly formed organization focused on individuals ages 10-25, Youth Trust Project is developing programs for its crisis drop-in center while engaging in advocacy efforts at the local, state, and regional levels. They combine their victim service work with their systems change work through an active collaboration with local law enforcement. With their law enforcement partners, they have improved processes to more effectively identify victims and survivors, bring traffickers and buyers to justice, and provide community trainings on the issue of human trafficking.
